Werf Acht is a new construction project LOCATED ON FREEHOLD PROPERTY in the middle of Amsterdam. The location of Werf Acht is in the cool and centrally located district Oostenburg. Oostenburg was built in the time of the VOC. It was the shipyard where the ships were built. For years it was a closed business site. Nowadays, the editorial staff Het Parool and de Volkskrant are located in Oostenburg and more and more houses and businesses are coming.
The historic buildings in Oostenburg are preserved: the Van Gendthallen, the Werkspoorhal, old quay walls and the iconic blue crane stands of Werkspoor. Oostenburg is located in the middle of Amsterdam and is developing into a modern and lively city district connected to the center (Dam Square is 5 minutes by bike) and Amsterdam East.
